A year ago, we launched Give One, Klarna’s commitment to tackling some of the most pressing environmental crises of our time. As part of this commitment, we pledged 1% of funding rounds to high-impact planet projects around the world–currently 16.5M USD.
But what’s Give One? It’s a call-to-action. A challenge to make an impact on the planet’s health. And an invitation for everyone to join in.
Together with Klarna’s strategic sustainability partner Milkywire, Give One wants to make it easier for consumers, merchants, and partners to get involved in solving the planet health crisis. We do this through supporting high-impact planet health projects that work at the nexus of biodiversity, people, and climate. And we prioritize funding locally rooted organizations that represent and involve affected communities–which means more context-specific solutions that are both socially and environmentally sustainable.
A year after Give One’s launch, we’ve now signed 9 organizations and have allocated the initial part of our pledge (9M USD) to non-profits around the world. Soon, you’ll get a chance to meet them in profiles and videos on this site. Stay tuned to follow the impact.
